of the International Contest of
young pop singers “New Wave 2011”. Contest’s Organizer The International Contest of young
pop singers
“New Wave-2011” is organized by “ARS” Holding. Participating Criteria For participation The Contest
invites young
talented artists who are 16 to 30 years old in independence of their
music
genre and cast crew -solo -duet -ensemble, group Program terms of carrying out and
location International Contest of young pop
singers“New
Wave-2011” consists of 4 rounds 1st round-regional selection round Terms of carrying out: from 11th
January till
1st April 2011 Location: Russia, City______ (see
the scheme) In order to take part in the
Contest it is
necessary for all participants to pass registration procedure and to
give to
the Organizing committee all necessary materials 1. It is necessary for participants
to
register and send to Organizing committee by e-mail nw2011@inbox.ru or
to the
post address of Organizing committee (see below) or to deliver in office
of
Organizing committee (the address see below) the following materials: • Completely filled registration
form (see the
Appendix ¹ 1), with definition of a quantitative cast (the questionnaire
is
filled separately by each band or individual artist); • 3-4 photos in full growth, a
format not less
10õ15 cm; • One or more pieces of music on
the
audio-carrier (CD) in the chosen category (a world hit, a hit of the
country,
original (author's) song), and the
video-carrier (DVD), if any. 2. The organizing committee does
not review or
return the music or video materials. 3. As a result of listening and
viewing the
Participants of the 1st round, the best artists are invited for
participation
in national selection round. 4. The decision on the further
passage of the
Participant into National selection round is delivered exclusively by
organizing committee in Moscow. 2 round

Participants
perform two songs: • The Author's song or a hit of the
country • The World smash hit in foreign
language. 2. While carrying out
National selection round the Jury reserves
the right to itself: • To stop the Participant before
the end of
the executing song • To suggest to sing other song
from
repertoire of the Participant 3. Based on results of the National
selection
round the best performers are invited to participate in the Semifinal. 4. The Jury for the District /
National
selection round consists of: A.Revzin, E.Orlov, A.Rumyantsev,
representatives
of the District/national Organizing committee, known art workers of the
region,
representatives of mass-media, and winners of the Contest of the past
years. 5. The Jury provides with
recommendation on
repertoire, style, etc. those participants who have achieved the
Semifinal. 3 round - the Semifinal If in your country there is no
national
selection round, in case if you go through to the next selection round
after
the audition , you are invited to the European Semifinal that will take
place
in Riga on the 25 of March 2011 Location:

(Skolas street 2) 1. The semifinal lasts one day; 2. In the Semifinal Participants
execute 2
songs: • The Author's song or a hit of the
country • The World smash hit in foreign
language. 3. The Jury for the Semifinal
consists of: I.
Krutoj, A. Revzin, E. Orlov, A. Rumyantsev, popular domestic and foreign
performers, producers, representatives of the musical companies, and
representatives of mass-media. 4. While carrying out the Semifinal
the Jury
reserves the right to itself: • To stop the Participant before
the end of
the executing song • To suggest to sing other song
from
repertoire of the Participant • To not admit the Participant to
the second
day of listening, therefore the option of the song performed in the
first day
remains by the Participant. 5. After carrying out the Semifinal
the Jury
announces the applicants for an output to the Final of the contest. The
Jury
gives the applicants recommendations on repertoire, style, image,
choreography. 6. As a result of an additional
listening the
competent Jury will announce the names of the Finalists. 4 round - the Final. Terms of carrying out: on July,
26th – 31st
July, 2011. Location: Latvia, the city of
Jurmala, the
Concert hall "Dzintari" (street Turajdas, 1). The Final consists of 6 days: -opening ceremony of the Contest. A
concert of
Russian and foreign star artists; The-first competitive day
(participants
execute a world hit); The-second competitive day
(participants
execute a hit of the country); -creative evening of one of the
popular
singers or composers; The-third competitive day
(participants sing
an original song); - Ceremony of rewarding and gala
concert of
Contest’s closure. Use of a playback singing,
quantitative cast,
rehearsals 1. In 1-st round, all songs are
executed by
Participants under a playback singing "-1" on CD or MD-carriers, or
acapello in case of T-casting. Starting from the second round on, all
songs are
executed only under a playback singing "-1" on CD or MD-carriers. 2. Record of an auxiliary voice
(back-vocal)
is admissible in the event that it does not duplicate the main voice (a
melodic
line). 3. If participants are using
back-vocalists,
an auxiliary voice (back-vocal) is excluded from the play backing. 4. Timing of each song should not
exceed 3
minutes. 5. During the moment of competitive
performance (National/district selection round, the Semifinal, The
Final) the
quantity of actors on a stage should not exceed 6 people, including the
participant itmself, accompanying group, back-vocal and ballet. 6. Rehearsals for participants who
have
achieved the Final begin approximately 10-12 days prior to the opening
of the
Contest in the city of Jurmala. Exact date of departure is informed by
organizing committee additionally. Jury’s Responsibilities The participants’ performance is
judged by the
International Jury which includes popular domestic and foreign singers,
producers, and representatives of the foreign musical companies. 2. In the Final the grades are
exposed on
11-mark system through open voting that completely corresponds to
criteria of
the International Competitions. 3. The decision of Jury affirms and
forms a
report. The decision of Jury is final and is not a subject to revision. Rewarding. Prize-winning fund The prize-winning fund of
competition is 100
000 Euros and is distributed as follows: 1st place - a crystal wave, the
diploma of the
winner and the monetary premium of 50 000 Euros 2nd place - a crystal wave, the
diploma of the
winner and the monetary premium of 30 000 Euros 3rd place - a crystal wave, the
diploma of the
winner and the monetary premium of 20 000 Euros Also prizes in following categories
are handed
over: Prize of spectator sympathies - the
diploma of
the winner and a valuable prize “the Diamond wave” from company "
Smolensk
brilliants ". The winner is defined on results of SMS-voting in a
concert
hall "Dzintari", SMS-voting of radio listeners and TV audience in an
interactive mode of the web-site of the contest. Prize of the Jurmala Municipal Duma Prize from MUZ-TV channel Other participants receive
memorable diplomas
and prizes. The additional information 1. In 1-st round (Regional
selection round),
in 2-nd round (District/national selection round) and in the 3rd round
(Semifinal) Organizing committee does not incur financial charges for
road and
residing of Participants, but it is ready to assist in granting
necessary
documents, letters and accommodation. 2. In the Final the Organizing
committee pays
and provides the participant and one accompanying person with: • Road (there and back); • Inland transport; • A transfer; • Residing; • 3 times a day feed. In case of need the Organizing
committee will
assist in reception of the visa (granting of letters, invitations, etc.) Contest, rehearsals and all outside
events go
strictly with accordance to the certain order provided by the Organizing
